I miss my husband so much, and my aunt wants to take my daughter for the day this saturday, but he is working. He isn't going to be calling me until Sunday night (we schedule our calls because I have to get them at my aunt's or forwarded from my aunt's), so he will be at work when I get in. Is it possible to go visit him without him knowing in advance to ask for the day off? How could I manage it without him knowing (he stresses out when I come visit him because it is a 700 mile trip all together, so him not knowing at first is better)?

You might want to call and see. I know at CSATF they are not allowed visits while they are working. If the inmate gets off work prior to visiting being over then they can visit...
Good luck..

He is at work during the visiting time. He works in the kitchen. He can get the day off if he asks, but if he doesn't know, he has to be at work.

All prisons i have visited cannot have visitors if they are working. You have ot wait for them to get off of work unless like you stated he asks for it.

They have to fill out a form with earned time off to get off during their work hours for visits. They can do this, they just have to arrange it in advance. Sorry.

Sorry Somerdawn, but unless things have changed PV, they won't let him off work without prior approval, even if you've traveled a long distance to see him.
