:confused: Has anyone heard of Valley Fever? I have a bro that was in Avenal until he became deathly ill. After contacting Gov. & Pres. Bush's ofc a month later they transf. him to an outside hospital. I was told that he had to have a portion of his liver removed. I have called Avenal CMO & I do have a med. release form but they will not give any info. Can anyone help me on this.

Are you saying he's back at Avenal? If so, (1) e-mail the Chief Ombudsman, Ken Hurdle at Ken.Hurdle@cdcr.ca.gov (although he's out of the office until today, and, he'll probably take tomorrow off). (2) Call the warden's office at 1-559-386-0587, ext.5001 or dial 0 for the operator and ask for the warden's office. Ask if they have a copy of the Medical Release "on file". That should get you to the Medical Liasion, who would know, and you need to make sure they have it on file.

Here's the catch I live in Texas & he had another inmate to call my mom & tell her that he has had a portion of his liver removed & it will be months before he will be released back to Avenal. About 2 months ago the CMO was able to locate my release form 1 wk ago I called to find out about his liver & was told they couldn't locate my release form it must have gotten lost I do know the hospital that he is in but don't know how I can contact them to find out about what the hell is going on. I am working on a state to state transfer to try to get him in texas I am working with the State Rep. here that is a family friend to you know who the State Rep is for that district.
