please note: Ulster is a reception or processing facility. The inmate usually is there only 1-3 weeks-make sure to call if you are going to visit to make sure he is still there. You cannot rely on the DOCS inmate locator because it is usually a day or two behind. Read the Q and A on Ulster in the Sullivan thread for info on packages, phone calls etc.

Hello and welcome to PTO :)

My guy was just at Ulster for a month and now is at Willard. What would you like to know about it? I did visit him there and it was better than what I expected. The visit was much better than when I visited him in the bronx, part of Rikers.

Let me know what questions you have. I live in Long Island too and it took about 1 and half hours to 2 hours to get there.
