well, my husband is in M1-B1... I have no idea what that means... does that mean B yard? I'll ask my husband questions when we FINALLY get to talk, I didn't have a phone for him to call, and I just set up service through PCO... So hopefully all goes well!

Nope, I live all the way in Indiana and I am still waiting to see whether I am going to get approved or not! My approval is pending from NKSP, and then it transferred to Lancaster.

Visits are by appointments. Does anyone know if that would mean non contact visitaion. I have a cousin at C yard. I had no knowledge about the killing. Where can I find more information.

For starters not all visits are by appointment. If he is in reception they are appointments only, or ad seg or a non contact visit. Otherwise they are contact visits.

In order to answer your question you need to say what yard he is on. Is he in adseg, reception. If so depending what yard he goes to the non contact appointment are anywhere from 1-4 hours. On b yard if they are not busy the co's allowed up to 4 hours if there were no appointments scheduled after you. On c yard they only allow 1 hour and that's it.

Has anyone heard about the 2 inmates killed In Lancaster within the last few weeks? And if so
how does that affect the guys in reception?

The first killing happened on 01/02 the second one just happened last week. When the killings happened the whole prison goes on a lockdown. Which means inmates are in their cells until the lockdown is lifted. Luckily the second one only lasted less than 24 hours for the prison but the yard the inmate was killed on is still on lockdown. For the reception inmates it does not really affect for visits or anything because they only get non contact visits anyways.

If he is on the reception yard he can't. Sorry i did not realize earlier he was in reception. Reception inmates are not allowed visits until the are sent to the right building.
