I haven't been in a math class in over 7 years (High School Sophmore Year!!!) . I tested pretty high into math 40 (one level before college trasferrable math, but the lowest math I need for my AS). This is my second day in class, and all of a sudden, the review she is talking about is in another laguage. I'm having an anxiety attack because I did know this stuff 7 YEARS AGO, but it has all been but washed out of my mind. I talked to my professor and she said that I should drop to Math 20 right away. NOW... I have to drop down 1 level of math, and the class I will be trying to crash tomorrow has already met twice. I don't want to get behind. I'm scared. I would like to get an A, but I'm afraid how far they have gotten with 2 class meetings so far.
ARGHHHHHHHHH...

If you ever need help in math, I used to tutor College Algebra and Trig 1 at the school I'm at. Don't hesitate to ask for help! Also, I'm sure the school you're attending has tutors as well. Math is the subject most students need help with (outside the sciences anyway).

Hang in there... it's always better to ask if you need it and you can always take a lower level and then come back to the higher one. And an easy math class is always a good GPA boost!!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks everyone. I do feel better about it now. At least I won't be totally lost in this class. I haven't used that part of my brain in so long, so at least it will be a good exercise before I go into tougher math.

Hey Somer,
I was in your same situation...I know this post is kind of old...what i did was drop that class and took an elective...and i went to borders and got a math book and tutored myself so next semester i will take the class and have no problems...If you want the book that i bought i will send it to you it is the easiest book i have ever seen. Pm me and let me know if you want me to do that.

I dropped math 25 last semester because the instructor was not a nice person. There were several complaints about her to the chairman of the natural science division. Well I am taking it again this semester and I am struggling so bad it isn't even funny. It had been 28 years since I had been in school and I didn't take algebra way back in high school. Not sure I am going to make it this semester either. Hang in there!!

Math was always my worst subject. I ended up going to a free tutoring class that the college offered twice a week. If it wasn't for the tutor, I don't think I would have passed. I ended up getting a B in the end, but boy was I freakin. Good Luck.
