I need some information on the poper channels to go through in order to get my husband tranferred closer to home. I am seven months pregnant with our 3rd little boy and soon I will not be able to travel far. How do I go about doing this with pissing anyone off and getting him moved even further away? Thanks for your help!

Your husband is the one who needs to request the transfer and go thru channels to do so, based on the info you've given. You could then write a letter to his Case Manager (or whatever they call them in AL) or to whomever takes care of transfers, explaining the need to have him closer to home. Their decision may depend upon what he is in prison for, what his security level is and who knows how many other things.

Welcome to PTO and to the alabama family....Just like doc's sis said above your husband needs to request the transfer, he will need to talk to his classification officer.

Your husband has a very good reason to be closer to home, his classification officer can assistance him with this.
