HOLLYWOOD star Samuel L Jackson has spoken of his desperate battle to beat a 23-year addiction to crack cocaine.

Jackson, 57, told US TV chat show queen Oprah Winfrey how he finally kicked the habit in 1990 just two weeks before playing a druggie in Jungle Fever, the movie that made his name.
