I just talked to my PO & I will be going to Carswell, Ft Worth, Tx. Can anyone tell me how I get on the base to report. Well, I read horror stories & that it is not so bad on this PTO site. I guess I will find out myself 1-23-06.

Several of the women at Bryan had served part of their sentence at Carswell and really preferred it, transferring to Bryan only for the RDAP program. Check the BOP website for information on Carswell and then you may call for information. I recommend that you mail yourself a few photos and addresses of those people you want to phone and write. Also, be aware that they will strip search you (visual only) and issue clothes (sending your personal clothes and other items home). Take some cash for them to put into your account and tell your family it may be several days before you are able to phone them.

Remember too, that though you felt alone, helpless, and frightened on that first day at school that you were ok. Believe it or not I have some very fond memories of friends I made in prison.
