Boy was it hard to make everything fit,had to pick and choose what not to send as it wouldn't all fit in the specified box size.I had the list of approved items so I know I'm ok with those but now I have to wait until I go to the post office tomorrow to make sure it's under 30 pounds! I didn't seal it yet incase I need to remove items.Yes the little things stress me out LOL I can only imagine how much postage will be...Please tell me 50 bucks will cover it as that is all I have to my name at the moment! Wish me luck that I did everything correctly!

i put EVERYTHING in plastic bags as my 1st box leaked, my second got leaked ON!! that's life but i've got it down after years of boxes as a young offender. i buy a lot of my stuff at the dollar store. i pay $13.00 for 30 lbs, regular mail, it always gets there. these boxes are really personal and a way i stay connected with my kid. he loves stuff that smells good, amber, murrah, i empty out a small plastic squirt bottle with a lable (prison is big on labels!) and fill it with oils of all kinds. cheap, easy and boy do they love it!! the more personal i can get the better i like it. so nice to give my kid back some of his idenity....

Marie, do not try refilling any bottles going the the SHU they will catch that and you will lose your package. What you send into the SHU has to be exactly what is on the list nothing else. They are very picky at the Bay. Love Barb

Yup - UPS will deliver with the P.O. Box number...I do it every quarter, and so far so good (and a bit cheaper than the Post Office for my stuff anyway). I do the shopping at Costco for the food items and boxes of candy - and at Target or Wal Mart for shampoo, because the bottles at Costco are bigger than they allow! The only place I've found so far for sweats that have NO pockets and NO logos is Sears...anyone have other ideas for those?

how do you get a list of items you can send to the SHU? And, Barb, you did say they can only have one package per year in the SHU? Thanks for your help. Sorry I been away so long - been on my vacation in California.
