Hello Arizona!! I need your help with some questions I have. This Sunday I was scheduled to see my boyfriend at Eyman SMU #1. I got home today and there was a message from the visitation office there saying that Steven was moved to the Meadows unit. I was left a number I could call for the Meadows unit visitation office but the line just rings and rings. So I know I will call tomorrow and find out some answers...but in the mean time I was wondering what anyone could tell me about visitation at the Meadows unit...is it contact visits? Will I be able to visit him this weekend or do I have to get approved again? What am I allowed to bring with me? How many visits a week are inmates allowed? I know at SMU #1 they are only allowed one visit. I drive a long way to see him..and if he now gets contact visits that will be so very wonderful!! I am so nervous and excited at the thought...I haven't touched him in almost 15 years!!! Well thank you for any info anyone can provide me! I truly appreciate it!!!!:)

Hi there, congratulations on your guy getting moved! :) Yes, Meadows will be contact visits. They have 3 hr. visits and you should be able to go both days. Alot of Florence/Eyman units seem to do the 3 hr. both days visits, so I'm thinking it will probably be the same there. You won't have to get reapproved-once you are on his list, you are ok to visit wherever he gets moved. As for calling visitation, maybe try calling early in the day. My husband isn't in that complex, but where he is, visitation leaves about 2pm so maybe try before then. Hope this helps and hope you 2 have a wonderful weekend together!! :D

Thank you Dale's....your information was very helpful! I just got back from Arizona and all I can say is that I am still floating on cloud nine!! It was a wonderful visit. The best part was being able to touch him and hold his hand, I don't think I let go of his hand until it was time for me to go!! I am counting the days until I can see him again....:p

Yay Kathryn :yay:, glad to hear your visit went well!! By the way, so we all know for future members that might have the same question...were you able to visit both days?

Yes, you are able to visit both days. It depends on what building they are in if they get a morning or afternoon visit. I only saw him on Sunday though. But next time I go it will be for both days for sure!!:) And since I am out of state he will also be able to ask for special visits..from what he said that means I can see him for both the morning and afternoon visits. That will be so very nice.:D

OMG!!! Congrats! I thought it was bad when I couldn't touch my man for 3 years. I can't even imagine how you must feel after 15 years!!

Oh, we had lost touch for a long time...it wasn't until last year that I found him again. But I always thought of him throughout the years. A girl can never forget their first love!!:p
