Entertainment near Avenal, Hanford anywhere remotely close? I am so tired of going up to that area to visiting then after 3pm there is absolutely NOTHING to do, I can only do shopping so much in Hanford and Avenal and Coalinga offer nothing really.

So, I'm looking for a bar with either a band/ DJ something to do of an evening to help pass the time. Oh and the Casino isn't for me either, so let's not enter that one please.

I asked the clerk at the front desk the same question when I stayed in Kettleman City once and he couldn't stop laughing. He said that there was 'absolutely nothing to do with in 60 miles.' I didn't ask about bars specifically but I got the feeling that there were none. I'll be curious to see what you get for responses!

I am not familiar with Hanford, Coalinga, or any towns out there, so i am not sure what type of entertainment they have. I can tell you coming from Los Banos, Avenal is a 70 minute trip. Los Banos has 2 movie theaters, Plenty of Resturants, mostly Mexican food, but it is really good if you go to the right ones. The bars out here rarely have entertaiment. You can go downtown and find lots of bars, but if your looking for a nice atmosphere Espana's would be the best place to go. Las Margaritas right across the street has great margaritas. Theres Walmart, Kmart, Riteaid, big 5, walgreens, even a starbucks. Los Banos is growing fast, and i am hoping shopping would get a little better. It would be something different, doesnt hurt to give it a try, need any more info on LB just ask.

Thanks for the information, I received a few pm's also about places in smaller towns I've never heard of but oh well one night when I have nothing else to do on one of my treks I'll go find them, I'll make sure I know where I'm going first though with a map lol ....
I'll keep you all informed of places to go and see, although I don't drink would be nice to find a place with some music I think. Well, well soon see hopefully ....

P.S. Ironhorse Saloon is one of my favorite places well in Daytona, Myrtle Beach and Sturgis, shoot I can wear my leathers and feel right at home there hahaha

I have been to couple of them. I have relatives that live in Hanford. I wouldn't post anything that isn't safe!!! lol. Defiently okay for a single lady to go to..:)
