I was talking to my husband and he told me that about 1,000 of his fellow inmates on yard 5 are refusing to eat the food being served in the chow hall because the inmates on yard 4 are preparing the food and doing a lot of "interesting things" to it. They are basically existing on their stores and items the buy from the store or receive in packages. Just wanted to know if anyone else heard about this???

Thats strange. My BF is on yard 4 and he said yard 3 just took over the main kitchen. This was told to me last Saturday. He would know this as he was working in the main kitchen.

Yes....70 inmates showed up for Sunday breakfast which was S.O.S. (creamed chipped beef on toast). It's more because what they "think" the SNY guys will do to the food now that they are in control of the main kitchen on 4 Yard. Kind of like fearing reprisals for what they did to the food when they were preparing it for the SNY guys.
