Lets make a list of things that everyone should know when attending college.. Whether they are going back or transferring or a current student..

1. Make sure if applying for Financial aid you know all of their policies.. Dont feel cause you may have recieved it before or you know someone who got it that you know all the policies.. For every school has different policies..

#2. Be Sure to Make Sure You Credits Transfer (especially if transferring into a certain program ie. nursing, criminal justice) if you intend on changing schools or there is the possiblity to further your education in the future. I dont know how many people tell me that they are starting over/ or can't go back to school without starting over because their credits don't transfer.

#3. Get Advising!!! You want to take the courses needed for your degree. Many times people take courses that are not valuable to their degree and they end up needing to take other core classes before they can graduate.

4. Make sure you are paying the correct tuition amount--I recently had an issue with this. One semester they charged me in state tuition and now they want to charge me out of state becuz I havent been in this state for 12 consecutive months. If i had been aware earlier I could have requested more money for financial aid.
