Does nayone know if they can give you a 115 and not tell you? I thought if you got one you would know right? My husband said that he was going to be trasfered back to 310, and someone he knows in the office(?) said he had one. He says no, only a warning and that was when he first got there-he put some clothes to dry on a line already there and got a warning along with a bunch of others who did the same.

They are suppose to tell them if they get one, so they can 602 it if they want to, if the someone in the office said it but it wasn't from an official I would ask someone who would know and if they didn't know they could find out..... actually perhaps one of the CO's that come on the site anymore could answer this better than I.
Purple, I could try to explain it but since we do have co's that visit they site I am hoping one of them will explain it the best way.

What is a 115? My husband just recently told me that he got a 115 but didn't tell me what that means.

A 115 is the number of the form they use when an inmate gets a write up (in trouble) for something. There are different levels of penalties for the type of trouble they get written up for. There are administrative 115's and disciplinary 115's. The administrative 115's do not add time to an inmates sentence but they may be given extra work detail or something along those lines. The disciplinary 115's, depending on the severity of the offense will add various amounts of time.

You have a 115(s), which is a serious 115, which will effect his time. A 115(a) which is an administrative 115 which does not effect his time. Any inmate write up is turned into the unit (yard office) office and an inmate clerk types it up and then the 115 is brought back to the officer or who ever issued the write up and he/she verifies all the information is how he/she wrote it (since sometimes things get changed because the inmate is typing it up) signs it and then it is returned to the unit office. At that time the inmate receives a copy of the write up and if he is going to have a hearing. When you receive a serious 115 you will most of the time have a hearing. There are other types of write ups such as 128’s which can either be “informational” or “counseling.” The information is used to document an incident/behavior; you could say it is a warning. It goes into the c-file to never be removed but does not effect time. A 128 “counseling” is for medical referrals one copy to the c-file one to the appropriate medical section. Hope this helps
