Does anyone know about any Native American organizations that can intercede on an inmates behalf???? They are withholding his mail and today I got a letter where he is concerned about his safety......Help

You can also check with his tribal office and see if they have any programs available some do some don't. A

Try contacting the chaplain and see if you can find out if there's anyone who is taking the part of providing spiritual support for the Native Americans at his prison or if not, then if there's someone who is doing it at other prisons in the state. If there is, then contact that person or organization for help and advice. They just might be able to help.

For one thing it's "against the law" to with hold a persons mail, in prison or not. How do you know for sure they are keeping it from him, and for how long? Anything you suspect should be documented if at all possible. When are his letters post marked, when did they arrive, etc. You can contact me offline if you want.
