Hello , Just curious if anyone , has any info , on about 6 ,gym . They moved my Son from 230, yard to 410 , now to 6 gym. Haven't heard from him for about 2 weeks now. He,s been there 1 year , now, with one still to go, Still has no job.
It sure would be nice , to be able to plan a visit, anytime soon, He told me No Mom , I think they are moving me , to some other facility, dont plan a visit yet , He said he would let me know. I live in Arizona , so its hard for me , to get the funds, and plan a visit, being so far away, I can only go once or twice a year. Although with no for sure idea of where he'll be housed , Iv'e yet to visit once.
Any info would greatly appreciated.

Sorry your son is having a time at Avenal with all the moves as well, personally I would plan a visit SOON, they are moving them all out sometime except those on 3 & most of 4 yard at this time. Several are being transferred that are taking it when they ask for volunteers, to head to another prison. I'm sure your son has told you how badly the gym sucks without heat and 3 teirs plus no hot water most of the time. Many there don't have jobs at the present time but hopefully they will be soon with a few little ones opening up.
Mail is so totally screwed up, Whenever the holiday falls on a weekend they take an extra day off, so for like 3 weeks they have been only working 3-4 days a week, that is why everything is behind. They are delaying mailing out as well, the letters from the inmates to anyone, but from my understanding that is being handled also. I'm not sure what else to tell you so hope this helps.

I hope you can see your son soon too and what I always tell everyone is call the Records Dept. at the prison to locate someone as far as housing and then maybe you can call his counselor to get sme info on if he is gonna be moved again soon....even though they aren't much help most of the time.
Good Luck with everything and I hope you can see him soon!!! He would probably love to be able to get out of the gym for a few hours and be in the visiting room with you...they get to actually act human for a little while!

Thanks ladies for the 411, Its appeciated. Iv'e been waiting , hoping they would have moved My Son , by now, before I called an made an appointment to visit. Ever since , all this moving around started , for what 3 or 4 months now.:rolleyes: You would think they would be making some progress by now. :mad: As far as who staying , an who's leaving.
Iv'e been trying to avoid calling his Counselor, I beleive they just pass the buck , anyway. But I will call records, as you suggested. :thumbsup: Thank Alot.

Everytime he is moved from one yard to another or to a gym or wherever within Avenal his counselor changes also, that is why it doesn't help to call them really sorry to say it but they are worthless most of the time on some things.

Non-existent is more like it. Remember Ms. Kado?...She's out on long term sick leave, so, Ms. Tullos comes in to replace her, then quits. Now we are minus another counselor. Go figure.

Heard they are so short they have CO's acting as CCI's. Not much of a difference if you ask me.....just as useless.
