Nothing about prison is easy, but I believe that getting into the system is the hardest for the family. You don't know where they are or what's going on, communication and visits are limited. It is all very difficult!!!!! Keep your head up, you are going to have to take this all as it comes, try to be patient. I know how hard that is!!! Enjoy the visit when you have it.

Also, since you know that he will be at Downstate that long send money now. Also about the counselor, I was going to make mention in my last post to you. At each facility your brother will be assigned a counselor. It doesn't change unless you change facility, but always changes when facilities are changed.

mimi you are really one in a million you know so much about the system, which is a great thing i will continue to ask questions if there is something i do not understand or need answers to at least i know that i can post them and a reply is coming around the corner. god bless also you metioned money is thier a limit to how much i can send and he has a $210.00 surcharge that was not pais at the time of his sentence will they deduct the surcharge from the money we send him?

There is no limit on the money order that is imposed by DOCS. The surcharge, what was that for and I can better answer you. PM if you don't want to post it. Some fees may have now been wavied, others not.
