Gal pal is in county jail,Charlotte,NC waiting for her sentencing..Mid-twentys first time offender,but caught doing meth lab and got a lot of TV publicity...Alderson,West Virginia would be closest to her parents home.Where would be the best place to get information on Alderson prison. Welcome to PTO this is probably the best place to get information on the federal system. The BOP has a website at www.bop.gov/ for some reason it wont take the link, but just do a search for that site and you will get there. It contains generic information. When you have questions just start a new thread either in the facility forum or the self-surrender board and someone will be able to help you. Read the older post and find out what to expect. The unknown is the scariest. Forget all the b-grade prison movies you have seen, most federal camps are basically dull boring places where they dress you funny and have bad food. The majority of the people just want to do their time and go home, those that want to make trouble are transfered to a higher facility pretty fast. Hope this will help you feel better.

In this forum (Alderson Federal Prision Camp) the first Sticky :Info on Alderson is great. It has a lot of good information. My girlfriend used it a lot when her and her husband were preparing to take their daughter to Alderson.
