Hi all! I am heading off the prison on the 26th of this month - this Thursday. I am STILL waiting to hear where. I called a few places and finally got someone with the US Marshalls. Turns out that they never started processing me for a location. I am supposed to call back this afternoon to find out. I am keeping my fingers crossed for Pekin.

I do have a question. At sentencing I was not given a fine, just restitution. When I have money sent into my trust fund account - do they take some of that to put towards retitution? How does that work. If I get paid 12 cents an hour - do they take some of that? I'm just wondering because although I am married and my hubby has not left me yet....I only have a limited amount of funds to last me while I am there.

Any help at all would be great.

I can't say about your particular state, but here in Oregon they do take from your wages and your trust fund account, I think.

they are taking 20% of Josh's everything but the canteen i send. i assume it's for restitution?

We would have to know which state or whether it is the federal system to answer your question correctly. I'm assuming its federal....but one never knows without the facts :D

I also suggest that you post this query in the forum that addresses the prison site you are going to - again, whether it be the Federal forum or your states forum.........these areas are located toward the bottom of the Forums list in the PTO "lobby."
