Gosh I am sure that would be scary! Try to remain calm though as there could be a reasonable explanation.Once when my ex was in we got a box of his personal belongings including shoes, photos etc. with no explanation but we found out later it was because he had too much personal property so they made him send some home

When my guy left county and went to his permanent facility I had to pick up everything from the facility. He couldn't take anything with him. I hope this was the same type of situation.

don't panic sometimes things that are allowed in one prison are not allowed in another prison. Or they may have 2.4 and he had to much stuff so they sent them home. Prayer up for you.

What I heard is that they are not aloud to take anything with them to State prison so what ever belongings he had with him the prison would ship them to the address they have down as their address because my fiance just got sent to State and I was hearing alot of different things and i went to the facility and she told me that the prison would mail them back........

hi, calm down he is fine, when he went to court to get sentenced we took the important stuff i.e. wallet, cell phone ect, and gave him cash... 2 weeks later they sent a box to me with everything he was wearing that day in court, his shoes, and his suit. so every thing is okay he was not allowed to keep anything that he came with from the outside.
They should at least contact you

They usually ship all his belongings home when transported from jail to prison. Or you can go pick them up. I picked them up. But I have had them ship them to me in the past too.

I cried when they sent his clothes to me in a cardboard box. And yet I knew they'd be coming. I guess that as long as I didn't get them he wouldn't be going to prison he'd be in county. But they came and he's not here with me. I'm keeping my chin up cuz he'll be home in 17 months.

It is standard procedure in the Federal system to send everything home as they have no place to store the items. Before he is released, you will be allowed to send items back for him to wear home or to the halfway house.

When my man was transfered from SQ to HDSP, I received a box of his property too. He didn't want any of his letters or pictures to get lost during the transfer so that's why he mailed me his stuff. Don't worry! :)

when My Fiance Got Transfer To Hd From Scc Some Of His Things Were Sent Home For The Following Reason : He Had Too Many Cds For The New Prison And A Lot Of The Stuff He Had Was Not Allowed At The New Prison I Was Freaking Out When His Stuff Came Home And He Told Me He Wasn't Allowed A Lot Of The Things That He Had On The Lower Yard. So He Had To Send It Home Or They Would Give It Away He Had To Give Up His Radio Too :(

Do the prisons send personals to a P.O. Box?
or does it have to be a home address?
