Does anyone know how much it costs from AT&T to accept collect calls from an Arkansas jail when you live in a different state?

I live in Tennessee and my husband is at Tucker Unit in Tucker, AR. The penal systems use MCI not AT&T. A 15 minute phone call costs me almost $20.

For Arkansas prisons the cost is $20 - but I think the cost of collect calls from jails varies from county to county.

Well, found out today they are $20 a call. Does anyone know if we don't talk for the whole 15 minutes, does it cost less? At this rate I can only afford to talk to him like once a month from now on.

If you talked for less than the total time then it might save you a little money - but the majority of the cost is the connection fee. I don't know specifics, but I don't think shortening your call will actually save you that much money.
