Hey Ladies I really cannot believe that I am finally in this thread and that my man and I have 89 days to go. Man, has it been a journey. My man has been away since May 05. It was my first time ever being with a man who chose the "wrong" path. But I firmly believe in second chances so I decided to stay :). we have been through so much in the last year and I can honestly say that I have found TRUE LOVE!!!!! ladies he is my all...... My man went to prison with a tip on his shoulder with out a care in the world...... he did not have a relationship with his mother (which I say that a man will treat you just like he treats his mom). He did not have an education, and was just angry at the world, and I was all he had.
Well I laid down the law if you will (LOL) telling him that he needed to change his life and get on the right path if we were gonna try and make something of this.....so after arguments, fights, visits, and just plain prayer (which really works) my man received his GED :p (I received the actual certificate in the mail a few weeks ago) and is now a tutor in prison helping other people learn to read and write. He is finally speaking and writing his mother (due to me adding that extra push) which involved me meeting her and becoming close to her as well. He has matured so much and I can just tell by his demenor and his conversation that he has changed. He wants to work and provide for his children (I do not have any). and he is just everything I need and want him to be right now. I was one of those people who said I WOULD NEVER date someone in jail and actually it is the best thing that has happened to me and my relationship with my man (actually I think it saved us). I have finally learned to LOVE as if I have never been hurt!!!!!
I did not mean for this to be so long but I just wanted to vent and share my experience here and tell everyone that I have come in contact and will have contact with in the future "THANK YOU" for being there and accepting ANYONE with a loved one in "the system" without this site I would not know what to do!!!!!! When your family and friends do not understand YOU ALL are hear with an ear. In just 89 days the man of my life will be in my arms and I am nervous, happy, glad, and every other emotion in the book! I have just been through so much...... and if you pray please send one up for my man and his family...... his mother had lung cancer before a few years ago, and now the doctors told her last week that it is back and my man has NO clue. I promised his mom that I would not tell him until he came home. I go see him this Sunday and it will be very hard to look him in the face and not say anything. So again PTO thank you!!!!!

Thank you very much Kobe, and Kristina....... I am so happy and I am just grateful and humble to have found all of you. As I have reported my man is doing good and I go to see him on February 19, so I am excited about that. I took his mom to the hospital yesterday to have surgery and she hay have to get the cancer removed very soon. I am just sad that I cant say a peep to my man about it. "He will go crazy if he knew". But I just mail letters everyday and call her and check on her so that she knows that "we" love her. The only problem that I do have with my man.....because it is not all peaches and cream is that he wants me to go off the pill when he comes home and I am not evern trying to do that. So he gets upset about that but he needs to know that I want to be stable and at least somewhat financially ready, and mentally too. Let me know what you ladies think!!!!

Ladies Okay I am at 75 days... Its going and I am very anxious and sexually deprived :).... I am gonna pound on my man when he walks out that door!!!! Hello girls hope that you all are doing well. I know that I have been MIA but my boos mom had her surgery on Monday and was in ICU so I went to see her for the last two days she is doing really well (thanks for any and all prayers), then to just make life worse (Satan has been trying to get me) I was driving and hit a parked police car in front of the police station!!! :( No one was hurt or injured so I went into the station and told them what I did....... got a $104.00 ticket for failure to control my car.... on top of that I have a $500 deductable (but who has that sitting around) The cruiser is covered thank God for full coverage insurance. Then at the end of every storm comes what???????? a RAINBOW!!! After the incident yesterday I went to work and cried and cried and cried... I am BROKE!!! My best friend is paying my ticket and a co worker gave me a check towards fixing my car, and said consider it a gift. :clap: :clap: man just when doubt came into mind GOD made a way out of no way....a while ago I wrote my man telling him that I owe the IRS $1,000 on my taxes (long story) and this morning he told me not to come see him this sunday and just take the money and use it towards bills, and assured me that taking care of the house and bills is taking care of him too..... at first I was mad but who could get mad at their man after that? he is so cute. Well that is my week in a nutshell. CRAZY huh? So send one up that I stay grounded and that my man gets home safe to help me out!!!

41 Days and HECK no I am not ready :) I have so much to take care of and I have not done it yet. Its it scaring me. So many questions about THIS are going through my head!!! What if he changes? or what if we decide not to be together? or what if he goes back? what if he cant get a job? OMG all of that just has my min going 90 miles per hour and it has been liek this for the last month or so. We discussed it and OFCOURSE he is saying that everything will be okay but in my head I have a teeny bit of doubt. Is this normal? I am loving like I have never been hurt and I am currently giving 100% but will that be enough. Other than that I am well (LOL) Just my 2 cents on this whole situation.

You know what you sound like me. My man is driving me INSANE!!! And I keep wondering is he gonna do this when he gets out? What if it isn't like it used to be. Everything will be o.k. and I am thinking that we will just pick up where we left off, maybe try and act as if nothing has ever happened. Can you do that? I don't know but we are gonna try. Hello everyone.... As you can see I have 39 days left and I am getting excited. I really feel better about all of the stuff I wrote above. I got a letter today from my boo and he just put my fears at ease:) Also I go on my LAST visit sunday!!!! So it is really setting in for me. Hey Ladies I am down to just 8 days left WHOOOO HOOOOO I talked to my boo last night three times and he is just ready to come home and start life over. I am super excited and will be keeping myself EXTRA busy this week so that it can fly by for me. thanks again ladies for counting down and checking in on me!

YES YES YES 4 days left to go..... I am too happy! I recently looked my man up on the system to see if he was still getting his release date of the 9th and they still had the 10th in there. Well I was furious cause we wont talk again until the day I go and get him so I called the prison and they said that he did not get his "good day" yet. Today I checked and it is in there. I know it was only one day but trust me a lot can happen in 24 hours :)
