Hi all....

I just wanted to share w/you guys my visit (finally) w/EJ over the weekend. After all the stuggles the past couple months I finally did get everything straight & we were able to have a much needed visit.

My friend & I made it out there w/no problems at all, even in 3 hours instead of 5 like we thought. I had some extra time to fix myself up a little more from sitting in the car. I got to see EJ's bright, smiling face for 2 whole days both on Sat. & Sun. for like 7 hours each day!!! By Sunday both our backs were hurting because of the "wonderful" seats we had to sit on, but we didn't care! We did so much talking & actually had the time to straighten out things that we have needed to discuss for so long now. We played cards, looked into each other's eyes, held hands. It was PURE HEAVEN!!

On Sun. when I was returning the playing cards to the front desk the female guard there that saw me both days told me that I was the only 1 that has had good days because I was the only 1 smiling & laughing so much both days! I told her that I couldn't help it because I LOVE THAT MAN & I hadn't seen him in soo long!!

I got my proposal face to face this time instead of on a letter or over the phone! Get this...EJ wants to prove just how much he loves me that he is DEAD SERIOUS about us getting married while he is inside!! I still want to wait until he comes home though, he will be home in 5/2004 & that's when we can get married & live the rest of our lives together far away from Illinois!!

Both days felt like such a dream to me!! I bless the day I met my friend that took me down there & hung out in the hotel for a whole weekend!! If it wasn't for that girl I would have never been able to meet EJ from the beginning. She has no idea how much that visit meant to the both of us & I am going to enjoy very much spoiling her for her INCREDIBLE KINDNESS & understanding throughout everything that has happened w/EJ & I loving each other!!

I was a little worried about how they were going to treat me because I was visiting EJ, but they all must have been in a good mood because I had no problems at all!!

I just wanted to share my wonderful visit w/you all because anybody who has read past posts of mine knows how hard it's been trying to get things together so we can visit. I want to thank you all for your support & kind words.

Diona!!! I am so thankful everything went so well! I wondered about you and was hoping the accomodations were nice, that you had no problems w/doc, and that you and ej were able to enjoy one another! obviously, all came into fruition and i am so happy for you!!!! i'm sure you'll keep us up to date on the upcoming nuptuals! *hugs*

I'm glad everything went well and you did not experience any problems. Do you guys get to have lunch or dinner together? I am curious cause 7 hours is a long time.

When will you be able to go again?

They did have vending machines, but EJ didn't want anything because the inmates couldnt' get up from their seats for anything. Well the only thing is to use the rest room. I went to them & told him what they had, but he didn't want to eat because I didn't want to. We just snacked, drank pop....

My next visit will be when he is transferred back to Dixon CC the end of this summer. He doesn't want me to visit him there because they are SOOO restricted in the visits. We will have a whole lot more freedom when he is back in Dixon, so I can wait until the end of July beginning of August.

Glad to hear that things were going well for you during your visit. I'm relieved that you didn't encouter any problems because of the distance. When will be the next time you will visit him?

I visited my sweetie yesterday for the second weekend in a row. I had a great time. We are going to sit outside on the next visit, which is this weekend. Will you wait until he gets out to get married or will you do it while he's in? I'm still deciding on that myself. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one.

I am going to wait until EJ comes home to get married. That was 1 of many things we talked about & he understands why I want to wait until he comes home.

I am going to wait to see him until he gets transferred back to another prison by the end of the summer.

That's great, it'll come sooner than you think!

Yeah I know it will come sooner than I think, but after this past weekend I would give anything to see him again. Well I used up my weekend visits for this month, but there is always the 3 weekday visits they can get a month...hmm how to get out there again....
Nah I am going to wait...the other prison is much better on visits.

It does just feel good to even read your post about how well it went!! :) I too am a little jealous of the whole seven hours and holding hands... heehee.... If you want to surprise EJ with another visit before he goes to Dixon, you just let me know!! :) only 3 hours?? that's not bad at all!! You know that I will always be happy to help you get to Dixon too..... You know that's only an hour from me.... but can't say that I would hang out there much... I think there are a lot of people who wouldn't be too happy to see my face... Just know if you ever want to come over and even spend the night before or after a visit you are more than welcome to!!

Girl you will be the first 1 I call when I want to surprise EJ w/another visit before he goes back to Dixon!! Right now I have to save up some extra money, that trip about broke me! It was ALL WORTH IT though...to see that beautiful face & for me to be soo happy, really happy....

Well it was only 3 hours because my girl is a bit of a speed demon...hee hee, plus the roads were pretty clear at 5am!!

I understand about you not wanting to hang around Dixon...the "wonderful" individuals that judge you because you love JD...understand all about that girl!!

Look on the bright side, June is almost here so that's more visits from you! Couldn't you try visiting him once every two months or so? I know it can get rather expensive with all that traveling. When he moves it'll get better.

I want to marry him ASAP but I can't rush it since he's not going anywhere (lol). I'm going to see, maybe I'll wait. I put the wedding date for next year so I'll see how everything goes up until then. It's not like I have any planning to do wedding-wise since it's so basic. I hope I find the answer I am looking for.

Honestly EJ doesn't want me to come back out there. He knows how expensive the hotel & gas etc was for me. Not to mention the visit was a lot more restricted than the previous prison he was in last year when he & I first met. When he gets transferred instead of asking a friend for a ride I can take a transit bus that drops visitors off at that prison so if a friend can't take me I can always make arrangements to take the bus.

Putting the wedding off until next year is a good idea because it will give you both more time to think & decide on if you 2 want to get married while he is inside or wait until he comes home. I want to wait until EJ comes home because I want us to be together after we get married.

I know your decision will come to you & it will be the right 1 for you & your man girl!

That would be a great idea to ride on the bus. EJ sounds like a good man, he cares about your well-being. It can be expensive especially with hotels and things and you never know when something happens and your visitation gets cut or they stop it all together.

EJ is truly a wonderful man!! He knows that it's been so hard for me in my financial situation. He also knows that I have been trying even harder to get a better job because let me tell you girl my current 1 don't pay NOTHING!!
He has been trying to come up with ideas on how he can help me in my situation, I just hope that things go the way he is thinking.
He has been there more for me than my family & many friends w/the exception of the girl who took me to see him last weekend. It amazes me that he loves me that much that even in his current situation he is thinking of me & how to help to make things better for me.
