View Full Version : Fishkill Info
abgirl 08-01-2005, 04:24 PM HI everyone,
My baby went on the draft today going to a medium, he's going to Fishkill, anyone have any info on visits, packages, how long does it take to get married their anything would be very helpful:) Thanks in advance!!!
acipollo 08-01-2005, 05:49 PM Visits are only on weekends. I am guessing he is not going to fishkill work-release. Packages are pretty good. Guards are mostly respectful if you respect them. It is right across the highway from Downstate C.F. It is about 1:45-2:15hrs from the city. Hope this helps. Also, as far as I know, you will have to start the marriage process over, because of a new town clerk and a new justice of the peace and you need permission from the warden at fishkill again.Take care.
nimuay 08-01-2005, 05:56 PM Get there very early for visits. The line starts forming about 6:30 AM. Processing is not too bad. There's no shelter in case of bad weather, so come prepared.
abgirl 08-01-2005, 07:28 PM Thank you ladies for the info, How about the programs? How often do you ladies visit? Is there anything I can pass on to my fiancee about the facility to beware of? and How is the FRP?
Manzanita 08-01-2005, 08:10 PM I heard it was a nice facility and trailers are ok too, the best part is, it is close, only one hour away..... :)
abgirl 08-01-2005, 08:50 PM hi mrs. g
I've been praying for that now my travel is back to 8 hrs I'll be visiting more often.
Manzanita 08-01-2005, 08:56 PM sorry, I meant one hour from NYC, forgot you are in NC....
RaspberryGal 08-02-2005, 05:34 PM Does anyone have the outgoing phone number used for collect calls from Fishkill. I'm trying to help someone resolve and issue with MCI and they need the number the call is coming from in order to deal with it.
Any help you all have is appreciated!!
Manzanita 08-02-2005, 05:41 PM You would have to call the prison or look at the actual phone bill.
RaspberryGal 08-03-2005, 05:52 AM Thank you, I have been provided the information needed!
RaspberryGal 08-18-2005, 06:24 PM I'm not new to PTO, being that I have friends in prisons all over the great USA, but I have not been particularly active in the NY forum (sorry) ... I do have a friend that is in Fishkill in Beacon.
So, I thought I'd finally pop in and say HI officially *wave* and hope to meet others with friends/loved ones in NY for mutual support, encouragement, ideas, etc.

Fishkill Correctional Facility
My husband was transferred there today and I am hoping that is where he will stay, since it is close to home. Trying to look up information on it, but haven't gotten any luck. Any info will be greatly appreciated. I just know that visiting hours are 7:30 - 3:30 Sat and Sun only. Thanks again, maria

lilluv117 12-22-2005, 08:35 PM My husband was in Fishkill before so if you have any questions you can PM me and I will ask him for you. He was in Fishkill for 3 years so I think he could probably answer any of your questions. I am hoping and praying that he will go back to Fishkill this time (even though I know it is a long shot) but it is so close to the city and they have trailer visits! I'm keeping my fingers crossed :)
angel12569 12-28-2005, 01:23 PM thanks found out about the visits and packages now trying to find out about trailer visits, and what steps have to be made, can't wait, lol, thanks maria. Hope your husband gets transferred back there, keeping my fingers crossed for you.
