Good news: I got special permission to see him yesterday. I got there at 9am and didn't leave until 11:30. I had to go so I am the one that ended the visit. We both really needed it and I am so glad I went.

Bad news: He got transferred to Deep Meadow today so no more special long visits like that.

Good news: Say goodbye to the glass window and the stupid phone thing and hello to contact visits.

Bad news: I run the risk of getting turned away and can now only see him for an hour.

Good news: He is closer in distance to me.

Bad news: Now I have to wait for Saturdays and Sundays and get a schedule worked out.

Good news: I don't have to deal with Evercom and CBS anymore

Bad news: Now I have to deal with MCI

Bad news: He won't be able to call for a few days until he gets his MCI PIN.

Bad news: I can't go see him until he clears medical.

Bad news: His projected release date is WAY off.

Bad news: I just sent him the best card and letter to the old place and now it will take forever to get to him. Also, they allowed me to send a bulk of information in a big envelope to him at the old place. That will probably be returned to me.

Bad news: His being transferred just makes it so much more final. I thought I had a handle on all this and today just socked me in the gut. I can't stop crying.

Good news: He did get to call me for 5 minutes to talk to me. Then the inmate running the phones let him call me again about an hour later. His first words were, "Are you ok baby?"

How can I be so bad off, when I am out here and he is in there?

Sorry, today I am blubbering Jello

My hubby is at Deep Meadow now too. It's not such a bad place. There is a lot of info posted under profiles. Believe it or not, it's more real now but it will pass faster now too. I didn't know what I would do for 5 years, but before I knew it I didn't know where they went.
Chin up girl. You get to hug and kiss him now. WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!
David is an odd (his inmate #), so I'll be there visiting on those days. If you need anything feel free to pm me or post here.

I got the MCI call this morning to vaildate my phone number and then he called me this afternoon! I also found out that my calls are now $4.68 for 15 minutes. Hmmmmm, little less than before.

I called DMCC and they won't tell me if he is through medical - I have to call back on Friday afternoon.

I am doing better today. Thanks for the support.

He calls me this morning and seems he hasn't seen the doctor yet. Ok, this is a problem since he had surgery in October, has a pacemaker, is diabetic and no one has checked his blood. He can't tell if they are giving him his proper meds since they dump them in water before they give them to him. He needs a bed pass so he can lay down during the day. He has chest pains all down his left side and doesn't want to ask to see the doctor since it would cost him $15; he figures they are coming to see him soon so he should just hold out.

AAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!

hey just to let you know i have had problems like that with haynesville and i always call the warren when i have a problem, most of the time he listens to me and does what needs to be done i know i have talked with him and he knows that i am not playing with him, as i told him as long as my man is thier i will call him if i have a problem, try that route and let him know that if somethings happens (lord forbid) that you have no problems suing him or the jail as you can, be strong and that will get things done.

I am completely livid right now. He has not had his blood sugar checked since Tuesday and no insulin either. Still not seen by a doctor. I called yesterday, no one got back to me. I call today, its a holiday. Eventually I get a bitch with an attitude. "Girlfriend, you need to talk to the warden or seomthing." I tried, she's not there. "If he has problems, he can go to the doctor himself, no need for you to get involved. He can do it." (Ok, then he has $15 deducted from his account)

And what is the deal of taking all his stuff he bought from the commisary at one place, and making him start fresh at this one? Will you credit his account? No stamps, no envelopes, no soap, nothing. He had to borrow socks from another inmate! This is ridiculous. I would send a money order but he won't get it until Tuesday due to these holidays. What a racket!

Yes they get you comin and goin. They aren't allowed to bring anything from the detention center into the prison. Luckily when he's moved to his perm prison he can take what he buys here with him. My husband has a siezure disorder and I have problems with EVERY place he goes to. I have written (emailed) the governor so many times I think he knows me on a personal basis now. Every time I do, it gets taken care of. If I talk to medical and get nowhere (which is always the case) I go straight to the top. I don't mess with anyone else in the system. You need to ask to speak to medical and threaten to sue them if he gets sick from lack of medical care. Then email the governor, or write if you like, also. Remember to keep it respectful though. You can show how upset you are but if you go off he'll prob just throw it away.
P.S. Mention the sue the state part to the gov as well. That'll get it rolling.

I called back this afternoon to see if he was approved for visitors. Nope, hasn't been cleared by medical. And when do you think that might be? Try next week. He called me about 5:30 and I told him to just go to the doctor if he felt bad. He said the longer they go, the more he has to write up in his complaint. Then he laughed, if I go to the doctor, it will be so bad they have to take me out on a stretcher in an ambulance. (Like I need to hear that)

Do you think I can run a money order there for his account even though I can't get in to see him? I know he has to buy all the stuff from the commisary and I don't want them to short him if they take medical and prescription fees out.

I don't know if they'll take a MO or not. You could call and ask I guess. I know how frustrated you are. Just keep pluggin away and it will one day be over.
