Has anyone brought their computer into "Best Buy" for repairs? Good or bad experience and how expensive was it?

If you live in a larger city where there are several repair places, I'd call and ask them what they charge. When I needed help, I called several places and their prices varied quite a bit. FYI: Best Buy in your town may have very good technicians whereas the techicians at a Best Buy in another city may not be very good. Is probably better to get references from the store you want to have work on your computer.

I bought my pc at Best Buy and took it there for a minor repair/addition to it, excellent work and 70 bucks there as opposed to 300 at another place, couldnt beat that!

I've also taken my PC to have work done. It took a few days due to them being very busy, but the price wasn't bad :)

I buy all of my electronics exclusively at Best Buy here in Calgary. I can't vouch for the one in your area, but the one in mine, is excellent. They have always exceeded my expectations..I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Well I have been trying to get a hold of the
Geek Squad, with no success. I have a two or three year warranty. I think Best Buy is cheesy. I like Circuit City better.

I had not so good experience with them. I took my puter to get fixed (2) times. They asked to wipe out my hard drive and come to find out, it was just a switch in the back of my tower that needed to be clicked:angry: :angry: They did not know what they were doing.
