My name is Tom. My baby, Thea, is in a TX prison. I live in TN. We are working on proxy marriage now. What I want to do is find a job and move to be near her. Has anyone moved to be near his or her sweetie? Thea is in for a long time (7 more years till first parole). It's such a long drive and I spend so much on hotels that I see moving as the best long term solution. Thea is the only woman who has ever loved me, so leaving her is NEVER an option. I'm looking for work in Waco area. I already know about TX Workforce Centers. I'm surfing 'net looking for companies in area. Anyone have any suggestions? You share your story, and I'll be thrilled to share mine. Loving someone is the greatest thing you'll ever do in life.

I considered moving to be by my husband, but they keep moving him so much that as soon as I got close to him I am sure he would be off again.

I'm in TN (west) and my guy's in North Alabama, I'm only 250 miles away from him but have pretty much decided if his parole gets denied again (which would mean 7 more years), I'm relocating closer. Probably either back to Murfreesboro (where I went to college) or the Chattanooga area...

The closest I've ever been near my boyfriend is right now where he's only one hour away, but I've driven as long as 6 hours to see him. Although they're always moving him far I make sure I get there to be there for him. Hopefully she doesn't get moved that way you two can stay close. Good luck, I'm sure you'll find something.
