Just to get this ball rolling
Since I have very limited contact with CCC, just one casual penpal, I don't have much to offer in this thread, but wanted to get it going...

The address for writing to inmates and for packages from approved vendors is
Inmate Name and #
Housing assignment #s
POBox 2210
Susanville, CA 96127

And for general prison business, it's

California Correctional Center (CCC)http://www.corr.ca.gov/images/spacer.gifhttp://www.corr.ca.gov/images/spacer.gif
P.O. Box 790
Susanville, CA 96127
ATTN:Person or Department

I'm hoping to compile a list of phone extensions for CCC and, where possible, the name of the CO in charge of that department (or someone useful)

The main phone number is (530) 257-2181

Please add to this thread any useful names, addresses or extension #s you know for CCC ONLY (there is another thread for High Desert), but I am begging you not to ASK anything in this thread, as I am hoping to make it into an easy to read resource for finding this information.
Thanks

Sounds like CCC. Inmates from HDSP use P.O. Box 3030 when mailing letters to loved ones.

Thanks for the reply. How long did it take for your visiting form to get approved. My son hasn't seen him since Sept and he is missing him so much. I can't wait to see the look on both there faces when they see each other. We received our first letter from him today. So I am trying to get as much info that I can regarding that prison. His letter just said the weather was bad and that it took him 9 1/2 hours to get there.

I'm going to start a new thread to answer your questions. LeBeau created this thread for CCC info, extensions, etc. only.

Written Contact Indiviuals are free to contact any state prison inmate by mail. Incoming letters are opened and inspected for contraband and then forwarded to the inmate. To ensure prompt processing the following information should be included on the envelope:

Inmate’s full name, CDC#
Institution Name
P.O. Box Housing (preferable)
City, CA ZIPTo get an inmate’s CDC# or housing assignment, individuals should call the Public Information Officer (PIO) or the inmate locator at the institution (see below for phone numbers).
Those people who don’t know where an inmate is housed may contact the Department’s ID Warrants unit at (916) 445-6713. A date of birth will be required if the person they are inquiring about has a common name.ID Warrants will not provide inmate housing information.
Mailing Addresses
In most cases, the inmate mail address is different from the general institution address.

California Correctional Center
P.O. Box 2210, Susanville, CA 96130
PIO: (530) 257-2181

Mailroom- ext#4187
You can get updated address information and ask any questions regarding letters and so forth

R&R (Receiving)- ext#4462
An Officer Bates works there and he is really nice he told me the things I can send outside of a quarterly package. Like CD player and books from a vendor

Brandigirl,
It can take up to 90 days to get approved. It took that full amount of time for me to get approved to see my man at HDSP. The other postings seem to suggest that they get behind at times and it may take even longer. Keep holding on. It will happen soon.
