These people were convicted based on testimony from an undercover cop that LIED about everything. I wonder how many millions of other people are in a similar situation. I am so glad these people were set free.

And where did this happen? Good ol' Texas, of course. My apology ahead of time to all you Texans out there, but Texas is the absolute toilet of the American "justice" system. I wish the feds would step in again and clean up that place. But what I can't help but wonder over and over again is---------are they putting zombie pills in the food supply down there? Why are the citizens allowing their cops and courts and prisons to go like this? Where are the caring hearts and sensible minds of the voters down there? Do they all have that good ol' boy mentality that allow s and perpetuates this? Why do the ordinary citizens of that great state just turn their heads and look the other way? I'm clear up here in Oregon and baby, I have a BEEF with TDCJ that won't quit!!! Why don't some Texans band together down there and make some changes? Honestly-----these are questions that boggle my mind and if anyone could answer me, I'd be very grateful.

it looks like the citizens of Texas are trying and this vistory is a result. But like everywhere in the states the upper middleclass voters just feel that the only solution is to lock up people and raise taxes to pay for it. The fight agains injustice is a long road.

I guess it being the Bush family home state might have something to do with it too. And you're right------the fact that these guys were released does show that people are trying to make a difference down there.

This drug war had made so many officials rich and corrupt. Somehow it has to end. People in government dont seem to care. When clinton was president he gave clemency to many people who were unjustly sentenced. Old Bush seems to be a good ol boy

Well, the Bush family gets considerable income from the prisons, from the phone system for one thing. I heard that somewhere or read it somewhere just in the last couple of days. Sometimes I think it's the cops and lawyers and judges down there who need locked up. LOL

Wait a minute our good ole president and his family are really not true Texans. They are from Maine I think. But isn't this where the oil is? Midland? Anyway, what is that about the phone system? My man told me once they were also into the food system in the prisons here. We definitely have the good ol' boy mentality every where. Gets them reelected. It is called accountability and honesty or lack of in everything at all levels. And never ever forget the love of money. Are we really just the "little people." Remember the quote from the rich lady Leona Hemsley?
