Do you think that Pismo Beach is too far away to stay? The hotels seem better, and of course near the ocean.

No, it's not far at all. It's about 15 minutes south of the prison. I agree, it's so beautiful near the water. Sometimes after my visits I would go back to the motel and change into something warm. Then I would take a blanket and grab a bite to eat and drive to the beach. I would lay my blanket out and eat my dinner just watching the sun go down and listening to the waves crash against each other. It was so peaceful and beautiful out there. It would help me relax and ease my mind. :p

I like Pismo too, but Ive never stayed there. The area is beautiful and the ocean views are wonderful, I sent my honey beautiful pictures of the sunset from the side of the road there. If you stay out there let me know how it is and when I start going again maybe I will give it a try. Good luck.

Yes it is wonderful out there. It's a little pricey...but if you ever get a chance I highly recommend you stay at The Cliffs Resort in Pismo. It's such a beautiful hotel right on the beach. You get your own balcony that overlooks the ocean. Just an amazing sight at night.

JJJJ, I stayed at Motel 6 there I believe. I know it was right across the street from the beach. It was very nice.
