Please join the United Church of Tishomingo in a new outreach ministry focusing on the men, women, and families of Johnston, Marshall and Carter Counties who are incarcerated or have been released from jail. Our objective is to help them get started in a new crime-free life with the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Our ministry will focus on the following necessities of all human life:
1. Helping them to establish a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ
A. Church Attendance
B. Discipleship Classes
C. Fellowship with other Believers
2. Helping them to find work and a means of support
A. Contacting employers who will give them a chance
B. Providing help in writing resumes
C. Assistance in finding job training
D. Providing transportation to and from work as needed
E. Helping provide uniforms/special work clothing if needed
3. Helping them find a place to live
A. Contracting with local Tishomingo and Madill motels for room rates
B. Searching newspapers for apartments and housing
C. Helping fill out rental applications
D. Stocking/providing food and other necessities until they can support themselves
4. Helping them budget their finances
A. Become self-sufficient
B. Making sure they have enough money for their monthly bills
C. Save for a mode of transportation
What you can do:
Provide your time, experience, expertise, and financial assistance. Help us reach and disciple your neighbors of Johnston, Marshall, and Carter counties.
