My hubby has been arrested but i cannot find him
I Live in england and he works in america [long story]
He has told me he lives in Nevada [Hotel]before he was arrested.
And im really asking for help locating him
He was arrested on 19/5/03
He recieved 13 months
For D.U.I and for possesing a firerm without license

Any help would be appreciated greatly

Im currently Trying To find my husband,
He works in the states and i live in England so i dont know much about america's system of prisons.
He was arrested on the 19/5/03 after being stopped for drink driving [D.U.I]and for having a loaded Pistol in his Car,
I dont know where he was sent but he has apparently been charged with 2 felonies and his court date was on tuesday 27th of May.
He was sentenced for 13 months, I am desperate and i mean desperate too contact him,Ive been searching the web for weeks but still no luck,I am appealing for help off someone here,This is a hard situation and it makes me feel so down that i cant even write too him.

Ok lets start with how do you know all of these things? How did you get this information? Maybe he is serving his time in a city or county jail. You need to give us more information so we can help you. Does he have any family? Love Barbara

You might try calling the Las Vegas court and asking them some questions. Also call the LV city jail he might still be there. Barb

I searched the Nevada Dept. of Corrections database and he is not listed there.

I went to the Nevada Department of Corrections and did an inmate search for him. I didn't see him. Here is the address you can go to it yourself and look. I even just typed in the last name Austin. There was a list of inmates but not him. It gives their birthdates, a description of the individual and the charges against them. It's very detailed. Check it out.

Could he be in another state? Are you sure the "friends" are telling you the truth?

Sarah, since the two threads you posted in the last couple of days were about the same person, I have merged them together. This should put your thread on top of the forum again, I know you probably started the second thread 'cos the first got caught in the middle of me updating all the online inmate search links Sunday night and Monday morning and I'm sorry about that.

I just checked the Clark County, Nevada (where Las Vegas is) database and don't find him there either. It's here, tho:

It could be that wherever he is they just haven't gotten his name in the online system yet... but I am starting to wonder if maybe, like Ms. Veggie said, he might be in another state or the friends aren't telling you the real story...

The task could be a little daunting but you could just start going state by state and see if you turn up anything... many of the websites have a searchable online database of inmates, not all of them do, but many.

If he's in a county or city facility though this could get a little more difficult without knowing what state he's in... but if it's a state or Federal case he should turn up somewhere eventually...

Do let us know if you find anything else at all out, we really want to help...

First of all I have concern with the dates you were given for his arrest. That's less than a month ago. How could he have gone through the legal process in that amount of time. There are a ton of court dates involved with felony offenses. There's the initial arraignment, where nothing is really done but reading what the charges are. It has to go before the grand jury for indictment. Then he will have to go to court to plead guilty or not guilty. All of this before sentencing at the bare minimum. I can't see how it could all be done in a month's time. And if he hadn't been sentenced yet then how do you know he got 13 months? Somethings not right. I'd contact these friends and ask some more questions. Also when was the last time you had contact with him? How often did you contact one another? And how did you make contact? Try to locate him. You can contact the hotel he was staying at and ask if he is still there and when he checked out. If they say his stuff is still there and he never came back for it then you'll know something is up. If they say he checked out, then there's something fishy about this story. I'd do some more research.

It's also possible that he's been booked under a false name. That does happen. If a person somehow gets into the system with an alias or someone getting a wrong middle initial or something, that can make it hard.
