View Full Version : Az Check In /January
Aimee1 12-31-2005, 11:27 PM Hey everybody! Happy New Year!! Its not quite 2006 yet, but close enough. :p
I wish I could go to sleep right now since I get to go see my hubby tomorrow, (and I have to wake up in 4.5 hours), but there are kids in my neighborhood setting off firecrackers and its making my dog go nuts! It woke my little nephew up, so he's running around, and who can sleep through all that?!!?
I understand doing it AT midnight, but I hope they dont plan on doing this for the next 90 minutes until then. I will be sooo tired tomorrow if I dont get to sleep soon. I know, Im a NYE party pooper! :o
Anyways, happy January and happy 2006 to all of our Az members. I hope everyone is doing well and that you will all see or hear from your loved ones soon.
I hope that 2006 proves to be a great year for all of us! :hifive:
KBinAZ 12-31-2005, 11:32 PM Happy New Years to all of us. I am also on here at around 10:30, but I am contemplating going to bed before midnight. I just really miss hubby on days like these.....
NJNancymae 01-01-2006, 09:13 AM HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!
Well, 2005 was quite a year...lots of good and some bad but that is LIFE!
I KNOW that 2006 is going to be WONDERFUL!
I have plans to be married soon, I have a brand new job to start, my family is healthy (for the most part) and I have made some great new friends here on PTO.
With that, let's get started already!!

lovingmikel 01-01-2006, 11:34 AM Only 10 in the morning and already 2006 stinks! Just found out this morning that I am FINALLY approved for visitation after 3 months of waiting, and I can't even get there! GRRRR....I'm so mad! I won't have a car for another 2 months so if anyone is going from Tucson to Florence north on any given weekend.. would you mind a passenger?
Caring4U 01-01-2006, 03:15 PM Happy New Year to all of you!
3 Months, sorry it took so long for you. :( Mine just took a month, but it wasn't during the holidays. I think they hae such limited staff that those important things (to us!) take a back burner.
My friend is at Florence too, but I am coming from Phoenix or I would give you a ride. I hope you get to visit soon.
njtexas 01-01-2006, 06:03 PM I have just gotten back from 10 days with my family that live east of the Mississippi. It was fun and I am fortunate to be able to see them. 2005 was a roller coaster year for me. The father of my children to whom I was married 32 years before our divorce died as did with my step father. I had to dispose of Mother's house after his death. We lost Uncle John too. On the positive side, we had some good weddings and a wonderful Caribbean cruise this fall. I'm also blessed with good health as a general rule. I love my job and they seem to love me.
I hope 2006 will be a wonderful year for all of us.
snuggles22 01-01-2006, 09:39 PM Happy New Year!!!

With another new year done and a new one starting, we are all that much closer to having our loved ones home with us!!

MsVicki 01-17-2006, 06:30 AM Boy where is everyone???
Happy New Years everybody! Another year down and another year closer to our honee's comin home. I hope everyone is doing well and this year is better then the last. As fo me, I feel like I have just been floating lately. Kinda not sure what to do and don't feel like doing it anyways. I think most understand that feeling, don't ya? But maybe as I put the holidays behind me I can get back to whatever normal is and time will get going again.
Ok, everyone.....time to start checkin in again!
Take care and God bless you all.
chintath 01-17-2006, 09:53 AM Jan. is half over and I'm just now checking in--kind of typical of my life--I was thinking of changing my name to Redneck Woman but finally got my last Christmas decorations down this weekend. I am finally starting to hear from my pals in AZ in a more timely fashion but the ones in SMU or certain units have trouble getting any assistance from a CO when they need medical care or a form. One pal is housed with a poor mentally ill guy who constantly whispers and seems scared. People like that don't belong in prison.
Hope my friend will be able to call--I sent him a copy of the visitor's approval form to prove I'm on his visitor's list so hopefully they'll have his reclass hearing when they are supposed to and he'll be able to get that problem cleared up or the form to resubmit me.
Hope you all have getting to have good visits and phone calls. Happy belated 2006! Thanks for being our new moderator, Aimee! We appreciate all your time, dedication and energy!

Thanks so much Mel! Good to see you around here girl! :)
Hey everyone else! I have been kinda out of the loop for awhile. I recently moved and then college classes started up again, so I have been one busy girl! :p
My hubby and I got some good news on his reclass, so things are really looking up. How is everyone else? How is everyone's loved ones in prison? I will see my Mikey tomorrow so I am so happy about that.
I actually called in sick to work today, my first time ever calling in sick! I had a 24 stomach flu that has been miserable. :o Feelin' quite a bit better now though!
I hope everyone else is doing great and will hear from your loved ones soon. Take care everyone! :grouphug:
chintath 01-21-2006, 09:43 AM Happy weekend everyone from Colorado. Going to the Denver Indian Market here today. Wish I could send you some snow.
I'm having trouble keeping track of all my penpals--they keep moving them around--which is good and bad! Hope everyone has good visits this weekend!

foreverxyours 01-30-2006, 10:24 AM Happy New Year everyone! I'm writing from PHX :D. I hope everyone's year has treated them with nothing but love and luck. My year has been pretty good so far. 2005 was rocky, but 2006 like soulmates4ever said on her profile... 2006 HAS GOTTA BE OUR YEAR! My man gets out March 26! WoOt WoOt!
chintath 01-31-2006, 08:54 AM Glad to see new members: Welcome DevineMissK and to others whom I didn't recognize but I am not sure if you are new are just posting for the first time here. I hope you will follow us to the Feb. Check-in.
Good news is I hear from my friend weekly and his mentally ill cellie was transferred but was replaced by two others, one of whom has to sleep on the floor! Luckily they are all Native Americans from the same tribe and all get along. They keep sending his mail to his former unit for some reason. He thinks he is supposed to have a reclass hearing in Sept but the website says end of Feb. I sure hope it's Feb. and he'll be moved to a yard with more freedom but with all the lockdowns I'm beginning to wonder if anyplace is better. Are they still sending them to OK and El Paso these days? I think he'd volunteer in a hearbeat.
I have penpals in 5 other states, even TX and they are starting to sound like Disneyland compared to AZ.
