View Full Version : Florida issue imani4ever 12-30-2005, 04:25 AM Hi! just wanted some advice on the florida issue. I understand that inmates are not allowed penpals? or is it that they are not allowed to seek penpals? The reason being one of the person i am writing to is in florida. I would not want him to be in trouble and loose his priviledges because of my letters, can someone please expand on this? many thanks! If I am wrong can someone please correct me! kiwideb 12-30-2005, 05:15 PM They most definitely are not to seek penpals as FLDOC believes this to be a form of solicitation.. so while they are allowed at this stage to have penpals it is my belief that FLDOC are using this rule in its full force against any of these guys so that they eventually do not have contact with the outside world.. of course this will not work in all situations but with all that is going on it has given the guys a reason to worry.. so when writing never mention internet ads etc.. if you are new to writing him the best thing is to "know" that you got his name from a friend! If you get what I mean there. I will say there are many people working at trying to stop this absurb punishment crap that is going on at UCI. So just be wary is all I can say of what you say and do basically.
