Hi,

My son is being transfered today from Dominguez to Garza West to be in a trustee camp. I've heard this is a good thing. Tried finding info about the trustee camp program online but didn't have much luck. Anyone have any particular details about this program?

I have mixed emotions about the transfer. We're from San Antoio and while he was here he could see his son's every weekend. If I can find out that the program at Garza is better for him, I'll feel much better about the transfer.

Thanks,

Rose

IMO, a trusty camp is far better than a regular facility - especially a State Jail facility where they have very little to do.

My husband was moved from Gist State Jail to a trusty camp also and it too is further for me when I visit, but the change in him with the little bit more freedom he's got there is well worth the extra time on my part!

I like to think of the trusty camp as one step closer to being back home!
