Well, I am really new too this, but today is just one of those days. I hate these days. Well, Days have been better. My fiance was in county jail for about 6 months, we both thought he would be getting out. They seemed to be letting everyone else out who just had a parole violation out. They ended up shipping him to ISCI. He has been there just over 2 months and they want him to finish a TC program. The thing is, they arent' in any hurry to put him in it. He will be out once he completes that. But they really seem to have a thing for taking there time and pissing everyone else off. I guess that is what they want to do though. As of right now we aren't really sure when he will be getting out. It will either be 9 months to 2 years. I'm hoping less than a year left. it's already been almost 8 months and I am going crazy. But what else it there to do but sit and wait.
Next to that, the phone company through the facility has put a block on my phone and I can't get them to take it off. Any advice on how to get them to quit screwing around and take the block off?

Welcome to PTO!!!!

I wish I had some answers that would help, but I dont. IMO I think now that they have made some space for more inmates they will be taking more violations. The goal will be to hurry up and fill the prison up so they can again justify asking for more money. That is however only my opinion...lol

As far as the program goes I do know several people who had to get on a waiting list to get into the program. I believe there are a couple TC programs and if he knows what one he wants to get into then maybe he could write to the move cordinator and asked to be moved to that specific facility. If the program he wants is at the facility he is already at then maybe he can kite the program head.

As far as the phone goes he can get (or should be able to) prepaid calling cards or you should be able to set up a prepaid phone account with Correctional Billing. I am pretty sure that Correctional Billing does Idaho prisons. I have long distance block on my phone, but have a pre-paid phone account. My husband is in MN, but the prepaid calls are the same cost as a collect call or a calling card call would be

I wanted to also welcome you to PTO and the Idaho forum. I'm sorry that you are having one of those days. I have had several myself. My fiancé has been trying to get into a program for about a two and a half years now. He was finally transferred to ICC after being told several times he was going and not it not getting done. Now we have to wait a few more months to see if he actually gets into the program. It was also advised by the parole board that he takes it and a judge ordered them to get him into it. So I know what you are going through and hope that your man is able to get into his program a whole lot faster than my fiancé. I wish you both luck in this situation.
Actually MCI does the calls for Idaho. I know because I have put up with their BS for a few years now. They put a block on my phone several times, I had to call them to get them to take it off and they had to call my phone company (which is Qwest) and make sure I was current with them before they would take the block off. I have spent countless hours on the phone and wish I never had to deal with them. Fortunately Idaho has opted to get the calling cards and thats how we get our calls now.

ehh..I was hoping I didn't have to worry about calling cards, but it looks like we might just be doing that. I hate not having phone calls. Thanks for letting me know that they just screw around with people when it comes to the programs.
