Hi Everybody -

Just wanted you to know I may not be around much for a few days. When I got home from work yesterday, I was hurting a lot all over and had 102 temp. Anyway - I went to the doctor & I have the flu. I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Gotta go back to bed and curl up and feel like I am going to die. What sucks - I took the flu shot! Doctor said it didn't stop all strains only made symptoms milder. I don't think so.

See you when/if I recover.

I know what you mean about those Flu shots. When I was in the military we were required to receive one every year and every year I became very, very ill. I got out of the military in 1983 and have never taken a shot since and have only had the Flu once.

I hope you do get better. Will miss you around here.

Danielle I am feeling for you- I have had the flu since last Saturday and am just feeling better today--get lots of sleep and drink lots of warm liquids--chicken soup is the best! feel better!

Despite my best efforts and whining, I believe I am going to survive. Temps still floating up and down and I look like death (Thank God ya'll can't see me!!) but I am feeling some better. Thanks for your kind wishes and I hope nobody else winds up with it!

Then again, I am a big baby!

I am sorry to hear you are feeling so miserable and I hope health finds you again soon!!! Whine as much as you need to girl!! I know that when I am not feeling well, I get even grumpier that JD is not here... I want him to have to bring me soup and juice and give me some TLC.... :(

I pray that you will make a full recovery soon.. Just let us know. and we will go from there.. Love ya girl hang in there..

Seems I might have Lyme Disease - caused from a tick bite. I didn't even know he checked me for it. I don't know a lot about it, but I've been started me on antibiotic and anti-inflamitory therapy and I've got to go back tomorrow for more tests. It's times like these when I need my man really bad. I won't get to talk to him until Saturday and I need him to lean on.

Gosh... at least they caught it!! I have heard of Lyme disease, but don't really know that much about it... And like Shortie said... I know we are no replacement for your honey, but we are here for you... take care of yourself!!

DON'T BE TOO AFRAID. THINGS WILL WORK OUT O.K. WISH I COULD HUG YOU TIGHT. KEEP THE FEVER DOWN BY SPONGING YOURSELF SEVERAL TIMES A DAY AND TAKE ASPERIN OR TYLENOL.
