View Full Version : Less Drugs in Federal nascar4376 12-21-2005, 10:49 PM i think federal prisons does good when it comes to drugs cause the guards does a great job of keeping everything under control:thumbsup: e_wife03 12-21-2005, 10:58 PM That is always a plus.. that they keep the drugs out of the prisons in order for the inmates to get rehabilated in a sober mind frame witchlinblue 12-21-2005, 11:30 PM This is really good to know. Thank you for posting that. :) BlueEyes01 12-22-2005, 06:52 AM I think it would even be more of a plus if there were better rehabilitation programs in prison. Csmcgrl23 12-22-2005, 07:18 AM But they are still in there and in Federal facilities they are so "diligent" that they send people away that don't even have drugs on them!!!!! I'm all for them doing a good job and keeping drugs out of a prison BUT I have issues with them using faulty equipment. They can scan someone that has NO DRUGS on them and send them away while someone that is not scanned but has drugs on them cruises thru because they are not "randomly" picked to get screened and they pat no one down!!! Do what you have to do but do it with something that works!!!! BlueEyes01 12-22-2005, 08:16 AM In my opinion prison does not help drug/alcholic addicts. They may help alittle, they curb the problem for awhile, but how often do you see them going back to prison over and over because of their addictions?? When are people going to see this is not helping, they need rehabilitation not prison. Thats just my opinion. Homiegirl 01-17-2006, 02:55 PM My man is in federal prison and has told me himself how there are no drugs there, and he would have no reason to lie about it. Like CSMC stated they use the ION scanner at my mans facility also, every visitor except for children get scanned, which would be an easy way to sneak things in....in my opinion. But, I must say I do dreed that machine everytime I go there and worry about getting a false positive since I travel so far to see him and spend a lot of money. My heart goes out to the people I have seen turned away. Besides that...I must say Federal prison as a whiole is so much better than the CA state prisons my baby has been in before. Although he is not in a program while inside the Feds paid for him to go to 6 months of rehab while out on bond and fighting his case. They are preparing him, making him pay off his fines, which bugs the he** out of me, but all in all he will have to pay it eventually anwyays. I hate the fact he is in prison but he has grown so much and changed and I cant say the Feds havent played any part in this. I think there facilities are a lot more cleanier and managed better. However I am no fool, my man told me at visiting last weekend they have this CO who was trained special in searching and he comes in a tool belt and jumpsuit and climbs the walls and stuff and goes into the ceiling. He found a huge garbage bag of Pruno in the celing in the unit next to his and a bunch of shanks in my babes unit. So I am not saying the prisoners dont get things by them by no means. They out number the guards by far and they know how to do things and get away with them. I am just grateful there arent hard drugs in there, or at least my man hasnt come by them yet. |
