Alright ladies Ive had an epiphany today and here goes. Since most of us dont care what type of food and so that we may have a variety to please everyones palates there is a Sizzler in Arroyo Grande (about 10 mins south of SLO) and there is a Hometown Buffet in SLO near the Madonna Inn.
These are just suggestions on my part. Let me know what you all think and if need be we can all vote on where to go, though I know most of us just want to meet and hang out together offline for a change :)

Cysreese, to my knowledge there is an airport in SLO but I dont know if you can catch a commercial flight into there. Check Amtrak, Ive caught the train from Los Angeles and it was a more than pleasant ride along the coast though it did take 5 hours but I was so relaxed when I arrived.
For transportation contact the Friends Outside @ 805-543-3888 and leave a message because they are only open on Thurs after 1:30 pm and Fri from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm unless of course their hours have changed. But also keep in mind that numbers are being passed out early and the van doesnt arrive at the prison until 930 so what I did to get a number was catch a cab and then waited out front in line until everyone lined up. That is the only drawback of when you dont drive. Good luck.

No problem Cysresse, thats what we are all here for to help each other out. And as for Amtrak, if you sign up for their rewards program you get a membership card and can earn points towards your travel plus their rates are great. I paid 50.00 roundtrip from Los Angeles.

I wish SLO had a Red Lobster and a TGIF...but they don't. :( As for the airport, I've flown into SLO before. American Airlines flies into the little airport in SLO. It's actually American Eagle which is a sister plane to American Airlines. However, since there are only like 2 airlines that fly into that small airport the flights are pretty expensive. My flight from San Jose to SLO roundtrip was about $295. :eek: It was so scary because it was raining and their were only 6 of us on the plane.

As for the restaurant.....Sizzler's sounds good to me. :thumbsup:

Alright ladies it looks like we are onto something good here... Im glad everyone is getting excited and this is definitely giving me something special to look forward to since I am having "visiting issues" at this time.

B's, you're not too far from me and we have a regular carpool group which meets here at my house so pm me for info and we can swap numbers and set something up if you like. We have a great time me and the girls, or excuse me angels :) @ Beth and Poo.

Well as much as I was looking forward to meeting you ladies......I won't be going to dinner let alone going to visit anymore. My husband has made the choice to not be my husband anymore.
