View Full Version : Using Overstock.com and their "outlet" prices? Your experiences?
MrsBenji 12-20-2005, 04:51 PM Okay... So I'm lazy and I usually know exactly what I want to buy, so I ordered a bunch of stuff from Overstock.com. They really were BARGAINS! I got 400 thread count sheets for $29 a set (all sizes) and $25 for a cordless steam iron and all sorts of other good deal.
And then, while I got several different deliveries for all the items that I ordered, instead of the iron I ordered, I got a regular one. (A nice regular one, but a regular one nonetheless.) Well, I sent an e-mail about it on Friday and yesterday, Monday, I got the correct one with an apology letter telling to me to keep the extra iron as an apology.
I just, well, I am SUPER pleased with Overstock, but I wonder if I just lucked into a good one.... Anyone else having good experiences getting good deals with them??

redphoenixx 12-27-2005, 03:51 AM I've only bought one thing from them, a barbecue set of utensils with really long handles in a nice case. Said they were ariginally $85, I paid $14.99. Course, I later saw them in retail stores for $15, but, oh well.
RachelKaren 12-31-2005, 04:32 AM I bought my son a beautiful hand carved mask for his room. The price was GREAT , the mask looked even better than it did on the site, and who can beat overstock's shipping fees! I love that site!
Ravenslove 12-31-2005, 04:52 AM I love Overstock.com I have sent Raven cd's bought high thread count sheets for less then 1/4 I would have paid at a store. The delivery is fast and the prices are great.
rottn 12-31-2005, 05:58 AM I order stuff from there all the time. I love the site.
JohnsHeart 01-08-2006, 01:19 PM I have ordered some things from them with no problems :) some of their items are not a good value (price wise) but a lot of them are.
nimuay 01-08-2006, 10:36 PM As long as you are careful, they are wonderful. Not everything is a drop-dead bargain, but they are accurate and good.
kristinam79 01-08-2006, 10:43 PM i bought a leopard print combi stroller for my daughter on there and I was pleased with the service. I would have paid like more then $200 for it out here if I got it at bergstroms, so I would definitely use them again

rlewis729 03-02-2006, 07:33 AM Yep, I love them too! Half my family orders from their site. I usually buy most of my CD's and DVD's from Overstock. I have found some really cheap older CD's there, and was very happy with them.
Right before Christmas 2004, I ordered two CD's at noon - I received them two days later around 4:00!
pug.gie 03-02-2006, 04:57 PM Overstock is good if you know exactly what you want and don't plan on returning anything. Particularly clothing. Don’t order it if you aren’t sure it will fit. They charge a restocking fee and return shipping, etc. I ordered several pairs of expensive jeans and kind of had to go through the wringer to get them returned. This was my fault I guess for not reading the fine print when I placed my order. I guess I just got used to other online retailers who let you return things very easily. I also had to return a set of computer speakers to them because they arrived broken. No restocking or return shipping fee on those though. I ordered a rain shower showerhead from them recently and it was fine. On the other hand I love Smartbargains.com and would recommend them to anyone.
Manzanita 04-09-2006, 07:30 PM I have gotten great bargains from there and the delivered fast! Coats are a bargain, and home things like sheets and pillows, etc etc...
