Kicking meth a long, painful road
By ED KEMMICK
Of The Gazette Staff
Marie tried getting off methamphetamine four times before she found a program, and a state of mind, that made it possible.
Those earlier stints included two private inpatient treatment centers, a "lockdown facility" and a military-style boarding school. After each treatment regimen, Marie relapsed almost immediately, going back to meth and alcohol and marijuana within days of her release.
The fifth time, she finally found a program that worked. More accurately, she finally enrolled in a program because she truly wanted to change her life, not because somebody else wanted her to.

What an amazing story. My fiance and I moved 600 miles away from our home town two years ago to get off meth. We got clean and then we get a phone call one day about three months ago and find out he got indicted anyways two years after we got clean. What luck right well at least we kicked the meth.

That is sad news. But isnt it better to face whatever clean then not clean. You are right, you are both clean and that will go a long way. Good luck and keep up the new life !!
