CRC is for both men and women, Yes it is a rehabilitation center but it is also now used to house other inmates for instiutional need through out CDC. I was an inmate there a little over a year ago, if you have any question that I can help you with please ask away.

It's ALSO the biggest dope house in the system, and always has been.

I don't know anything about that because I was not in any of the programs they offer there I was sent there for institutional need from CCWF and I was in the painting department. I know that smoking was a big thing there an allot of people took it with us from CCWF and were paid alot of money for one CIG

My husband is in CRC and I have not had any problems with visiting but can confirm via my husband there is alot of drug activity there, and other issues I am sure are rampent in all prisons.
My husband has a job in the prison and recently his locker was broken into and alot of things are missing he says this occurs all the time in there.

As for visiting again I have never had any problems I get there early to ensure I am in the first round of visitors because I do not want to wait until after noon in a parking lot to visit. However if visiting and you want something out of the vending machines, get there early go the food first otherwise most of your visit is spent in line for the vending machines and microwaves.

Srgt Stone who handles visiting seems to be fair and impartial and has always greated me and my mother in law with a smile

We had a problem with my father in laws visiting form being hung up when he was moved from Delano and the female officer there was more than nice in helping us get a new form and getting his approval done. I was surprised at how polite they were to not only us but the inmates.

the trustees who work in the visiting room are a riot. I have come to know alot of them by name. My mother in law is in a wheel chair and when they see her come through the door they rush to help her and even know my husbands name to go call him out for visiting so mom doesn't get on them (laughs)

I know some people do not like to visit CRC because it seems unorganized, but after visiting friends at other prisons around the state I have to say the easiest is CRC in Norco.

Not to mention they have expanded the outside area to accomadate more visitors and put a canopy over it. It can not be seen from the tower and there is not always a guard outthere so you can squeeze in the extra hug or kiss. But beware they will overlook small things but if it gets out of hand they will call you on it QUICKLY.
