I just called CVA in Florida. They are entering visitation requests from APRIL 24 today. I didn't even mail mine until May 6, so it looks like I have to wait quite awhile. So....I'm all bummed out! :( My friend told me something he really admires in people is patience, but I am so close to losing mine! :argh Anyway....just wanted to vent! *hugs*

Okay, From March 2001 to October 2001 I drove to Goldsboro NC to visit with my honey at Wayne Correctional. Boy was that a long drive for a 2 hour visit, but it was well worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

muffin...if i evetually get any action from these folks, it will be an 8 hour drive for a 6 hour visit!!!! eek! i HOPE it's worth it! :)

I know what you mean about losing your patience!! DOC seems to love to stretch our level of tolerance as well as our loved 1's.

Diona....s l o w l y! i'm hoping i'll be lucky and hear something back from the cva by the end of june. i'm trying to stay optimistic, though. i guess when the time is right, i'll be there! my friend hasn't had a visitor in 2 years, so i think he will be happy with whenever i show up :) thanks for asking! *hugs*

Believe me I know what you are saying in when the time is right you will get to visit w/your friend! It took me a really long time in order to get things together to be able to see EJ!! It was all worth it though...

Don't worry about the visit being worth the drive.... I drive almost 7 hours one way to see JD for an hour (no-contact).... I do it twice a month and it is COMPLETELY worth it!!
I would say "keep us updated"... but I know you will be so happy when you get that green light, you will come tell us about it!! Hang in there... it'll happen!!
