Drug addicts must grow up, take responsiblity

I've been sentenced to 20 years in prison for two Class A felonies for dealing methamphetamines and for being an addict. Those who have never experienced a drug addiction can only imagine what it must do to the body and mind. I have spent time locked up with many drug addicts.

I don't believe for a second that any one of us woke up one day and said I think I will become an addict today. We all have issues in our life and we all choose to handle it in our own way. The problem is that the very poor choice I made that created the addiction has now become my alibi or excuse for other poor decisions in my life. I know that we have to move on in life and make decisions of the heart to ourselves that we want to change.
