Very few circumstances in TDCJ-CID prisons where a person is actually confined in minimum security conditions--even though a prisoner may have such a custody level classification. If your hubby's conditions are tolerable where he's at, I can't see why he would want to be transfer to the Texas gulag. He may be giving up better-for-worse just be closer.
You can search all the units by region for their custody classifications at this link:
http://www.tdcj.state.tx.us/stat/unitdirectory/map.htm

The custody levels in TDCJ are designated G5 to G1, for general population prisoners, with G5 being the most restrictive. Texas has max units all over the state, but he won't necessarily get sent to one close to you.

Thank you for your inputs, actually he wanted to know because he is actually in the worst prison in the state of New Jersey, they are doing some foul stuff up there and he just wanted to know, he's not just gonna do something on a whim, "WE" are not in that order, I just simply asked a question.
