Msn is having a compitition where the winner recieves $25,000 to get their idea up and running. Clayton I believe has an awesome idea involving the children of prisoners, if you like what you read about it below you can vote for him by following this link- http://www.ideashappen.msn.com/community.aspx

Look for "Clayton's Backyard Crew"

Clayton's Backyard Crew
My idea is based on helping children whose parents are incarcerated, or in prison. My little brother started this project several years ago and I have joined him. We collect gently used bicycles and fix them up at Christmas to give to these kids. They think it is from the parent who is in prison. This idea is unique because it targets a very special group of children who seem to get lost in the system. If funded we would be able to get new bikes along with helmets and locks for each child, along with a big red bow on each bike. Our goal each year is to reach 100 children. Funds would make it possible to make this happen over the next several years. We would be able to set up a non-profit organization that would ensure annual participation to the Angel Tree Prison Ministry who supplies the names of the children.

I would love to see Clayton win!!!!!

I voted too.

I'll check later and see if I can find out how to contact them. I might be able to help directly or indirectly, even if they don't win the money, since I operate a bicycle store.

I've looked but couldn't find anyway to contact who's doing this. I seen that the guys name was Louie that has submitted this idea though. If anyone finds a way to contact him let me know! Thanks! And there's 19 days left to vote for him!

decochick, I really got a kick out of your attachment! It looks like that cat is hitting herself in the face with her paw!
So what all do you know about the Angel Tree Ministry? I've never heard of it.

This is what Angel Tree is all about..........................

All too often, the forgotten victims of crime are the little children of inmates, who are left without a father or mother -- through no fault of their own. We all pay the price for this: the evidence is clear that children with a parent in prison are six times more likely to end up in prison themselves someday. Now you can join Angel Tree®, a ministry of Prison Fellowship®, and help break this cycle of crime by sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the children of inmates. Angel Tree® is more than just a present under the tree at Christmas. Your support will make it possible for at-risk young children to receive the help, support, and guidance they so badly need, year 'round. Get Involved

I could not vote. The popup window keeps requesting me four-letter words, I enter them as seen, and it asks for another, different one. I closed the window at the 10th attempt. Is anything wrong with my security level ? I've set my I.Explorer to not accept cookies. Popups are not disabled, since this popup appears ok in my screen.

Un abrazo,
Andrés

Maybe since you are not accepting cookies that is the problem, I think you need them 'cuz it keeps track of what you voted for.

Hope this helps!

Yes, I enabled cookies and it allowed me to vote. I immediately disabled them. Since I'm a programmer, I don't like these things :)

I voted. What an excellent idea. Not that the rest of the ideas aren't good. Just this one is personal. There are a ton of organizations out there for all the other ideas and hardly any for OUR children. GOO CLAYTON!!!!!
