Trip to Mt. Rushmore gets correction officers in trouble

BOISE -- Two Idaho correction officers face disciplinary action for visiting Mount Rushmore with two prison inmates in tow.

A Department of Correction spokesperson says the officers were responsible for transporting the inmates from Minnesota to Idaho when they drove about 40 miles out of the way to visit the South Dakota landmark.

The armed officers, who stopped to take pictures of each other, drew attention from park visitors who alerted rangers.

That tells me that for whatever reason they are bringing inmates back as needed. I look foward to hearing the reasons these inmates were brought back. I was under the impression that inmates would not be brought back for any reason no matter what. Including if it turned out the inmates didnt fit the guidlines.

OMGosh!!! That is funny but at the same time things are rolling at MN and things are getting UGLY!! I pray to GOD that the Idaho guys get brought back before all the happenings get going like with the WA guys!!
