Well I took my final for my Med. Term. class today, and I thought I had a B no matter how well I did. In the beginning of class, she mentioned that to get a B you have to get 82% of the points in the class :eek: . I didn't even study because I thought I had the B no mater what. I obssesivly keep track of my grades in all my classes, but I just didn't notice that on the sylibus. I, of course, thought I would just have to get 80% to get the grade.
I stayed late, so I would get my final grade. I got the B with the lowest amount of points possible. If I would have missed one more answer on the final, I would have got a C. She would not bend on the grades, and the actual percentage I got was 81.93%, so I just made it.
It was a scary and relieving day at the same time. I have 2 more finals this week, and one next week. Wish me luck, and good luck to all of us students. I don't know how we do it sometimes with all the prison stress we have on top of all the normal stuff.

Congrats Somer!! The great news is - your future employers aren't going to see 'skin of my teeth' they will just see that "B"!! Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I have to have a high GPA to get accepted in the Ultrasound program at my school, but if I don't, I go on the waiting list, and that would take a year to get in. I should have a 3.5 GPA after this, but it was a scary day.

Great Job! I hear from all the Health Technologies students that Medical Terminology is not easy...Good luck on the rest of your finals!

Good for you! Medical Terminology is TOUGH to learn. Many folks don't pass so you did GOOD!!

Congrats Somer, and if you ever want to chat with someone who works in that field, give me a shout. I'm an X-Ray tech, have been since 1992, and also do Mammography and Bone Density Testing. Sonography is a great field to get into..just make sure that the school you attend is accredited. We have a program here in Austin that charges their students and arm and a leg for tuition, then they can't find jobs when they get out because of lack of accreditation.
