im surprised i never found this web site before...i guess i was away behind bars...misseed alot of the internet boom

i live outside birmingham alabama and i was realeased oct 29,2005 from adoc.

i had a seperate charge that i got probation for as well as my orginal charge i was sent to prison for.

i have been in prison in louisana and federal prison as well.

i dont have a place to stay really in alabama,im not from here,so its looking like im going to be violating my probation(not parole) and leaving the state to seek shelter with family and friends.

i tried to get a transfer....no worries i seem to do better alot of the time in prison than out....

i do have a question though,if i do get caught(not sure alabama will come to wisconsin)will i just have to serve out the remainder of my probation time in prison or will the full 3 year sentence go into effect? you kill a 3 year sentence in 14 months give or take a few days.

nice to meet everyone!

Very nice to have you here, welcome to PTO and especially the Alabama forum family!!! :)

I'm not really sure of the answers to your questions, tho... you might want to post in the Parole & Probation forum here on PTO and ask there. The ladies in there are topnotch and have access to lots of info like that covering many states and may be able to help!

Welcome again - glad you found us!

Just wanted to welcome you aboard and to repeat what Lysbeth said, maybe the other forum would be able to help you "not violate your probations" and stay out of the facilities.

Heres a link to it, just in case your having trouble finding your way around,

take care and good luck

A friend of mine had to transferhis probation to a different county and what he did was continue to report to his po but in the meantime he established a place to stay and found a job and when he did all this then they granted his transfer with no problem

Welcome to the PTO, Im sorry you have no place in Alabama to stay, I don't see why you can't get it transfered. But the thing that worries me is when you say
"No worries I seem to do better alot of the time in prison then out". It makes me wonder if you really want to be in the free world......I do wish you the very best of luck.
God bless,
Linda

Well if you ask your probation officer , maybe he will tranfer you if you tell him the circumstances .I would ask him and tell him where your family his nad you never know until you ask.you will have to do the whole time that you have on probation i think. Welcome to pto and i wish you the best of Luck
