:wave: You guys, I cannot believe the day is almost here! :haha: I literally thought he would never be coming home!

My husband will be home in just ONE month! :clap: My mouth actually drops to the floor as I repeat this to myself aloud!!

As many of you know, I was expecting my husband to be home before the holidays. Unfortunately, he won't make it home before the new year, BUT that's alright.... he just received word on his motion & his new release date is January 14th!! I am beyond excited, nervous, anxious, and ecstatic!!!!

Today I actually went to Target to pick him up some boxers, socks, deoderent, shaving creme, shirts, etc. It is REALLY starting to sink in that the husband and his wifey will be reunited in just a few days!!!!

I know my girly SEL is also expecting her hubby home the day after, so big ups to her and Kevin too! :thumbsup:

You may be asking what are our homecoming plans?! Well, I am going to pick James up and we are going to stay at a nice hotel/resort for 2 nights, then drive home and start the rest of our lives together!! He says we won't be leaving that room at all the first day :p We also have our honeymoon set for Puerto Rico in April, compliments of my father!! Very sweet! I am so excited you guys!!

So please join me and share in this very special time in my life... as I begin to count down the days till James and I are together again!

Congratulations! My guy got home a month ago and I remember that final countdown all too well...especially the shopping for things for him. Have a wonderful time!!

Well I am right there with you. I am feeling all the emotions!!!!!!! My guy gets out Christmas day so I am trying to deal with the holiday too and hoping I don't get stranded in a snow storm going to pick him up, the institution is in the heart of the snow belt!!!....and there has been a snow storm there about every other day this month!! It is a good kind of stress though!! LOL....I do need to say the fear of the unknown had me up to 6:00 a.m ugh!! Best wishes to you and your guy.....I am happy the two of you will be together soon!!

James is about a 3 1/2 hour drive from me. He told me to come get him at 8 am! You know I won't be sleeping that night! I am bringing him the clothing he will change into and then I just sit outside and wait until he is released. Of course I'll have a camera to take tons of pictures that whole weekend. It's really neat too that Monday is MLK day because we have even more time to enjoy together before I go back to school! What time is your honey getting released?? I am already bouncing off walls...I can't even begin to imagine how I am going to be by the 12th:eek:. Where is James?? Paul is at Avenal. They release from there at 7:30am I have been told. Paul is taking the train home, doesnt want me or his mom having to drive from here to get him and I think he maybe wants a minute to gather his thoughts, which I can understand....by the time he gets here he will be all good. We already sent his dress outs. Thats right it is MLK day, that means they wont have to report to their PO till Tuesday I am thinking??? So close!! This is the hardest part of the whole time he has been locked up, at least for me. I get so frustrated, to tears sometimes lately and I am not a big crier. Wow thanks everyone! I see I got all my cheerleaders on the frontline! Loving it :)

How am I feeling you ask? Well, being that by tomorrow I'll pretty much have less than 2 weeks, it is REALLY starting to sink in! I go back to school January 9th and of course James is coming home January 13th. Once I get back to school, I am very occupied, which means it's a wrap!

I still have a lot to do before I leave to pick him up. I am getting my hair done next week :D My nails and toes done, going to the tanning salon :p Yeahh I want to be slamming for the husband!! I will have to pack both of our suitcases because we'll be staying up in Central Florida for 3 days. We basically have the whole weekend planned out. I swear I am going to bring my laptop to the hotel because I really want to give my ladies the update ASAP! James has only asked for about 394834 things, so I'm a bit overwhelmed. He wants bubble bath and candles and this jersey of his and many other things! When we talk on the phone, I literally get chills because it's actually about to be reality!!!!

How am I feeling you ask? Well, being that by tomorrow I'll pretty much have less than 2 weeks, it is REALLY starting to sink in! I go back to school January 9th and of course James is coming home January 13th. Once I get back to school, I am very occupied, which means it's a wrap!

I still have a lot to do before I leave to pick him up. I am getting my hair done next week :D My nails and toes done, going to the tanning salon :p Yeahh I want to be slamming for the husband!! I will have to pack both of our suitcases because we'll be staying up in Central Florida for 3 days. We basically have the whole weekend planned out. I swear I am going to bring my laptop to the hotel because I really want to give my ladies the update ASAP! James has only asked for about 394834 things, so I'm a bit overwhelmed. He wants bubble bath and candles and this jersey of his and many other things! When we talk on the phone, I literally get chills because it's actually about to be reality!!!!

Well I got a call from James this morning at 11 am. He actually woke me up (I overslept). I could just tell he was in a crappy mood. Don't know why he would even call me when he's in such a crappy mood! I asked him what's wrong and he really didn't say much. I'm not sure if it's just his nerves acting up (he is very overwhelmed) and the fact that he's upset that he cannot spend New Year's Eve with me. I'm not sure but I wasn't buying it and I said, "Look buster! You have nearly 12 days to go! You need to cheer up! I'm not dealing with you when you act like this!!" They ended up calling count and we got off the phone. Not a good phone conversation at all! You know those calls that have you in a bad mood yourself for the rest of the day! I'm hoping he'll call me back later and be his normal sweet and happy self. I will let you all know!

Auntie Jeanne and Uncle Herb will be ready, able and willing to babysit our nieces and nephews....so come on Mari,James, Kevin and Sel....

UPDATE: James called back and apologized for having a "bipolar moment." Ohh he was lucky he apologized to me because I told him I'm not going to tolerate those moodswings, especially when my days revolve around doing everything in my powers to make things comfortable for him when he gets home. We spoke for about 30 minutes and he said he's just so excited and ready to be with his wifey again. My parents are also incredibly excited and tonight my dad offered to take us out to a nice steakhouse the night we get back. I thought that was really quite nice of him :) Well, James will be calling back an hour and a half before that ball drops to wish me a Happy New Year! I'm just relieved we're kicking the New Year off on the right track!

Jen ~ I have a lot of James clothes from before he was incarcerated. He has tons of football jerseys and a few velour and terry cloth sets. Of course he'll want all new stuff too! I have to admit I've just been loafing around the house these past few days. I've almost fell into a little slump. I think the week before is the worst :eek: Tomorrow and the rest of the week I have a pretty full schedule and I go back to school Monday. As long as I keep myself occupied, I'm alright.

I am dying to talk to James. I miss him lots. He is supposed to call around Thursday or so, but hopefully he gets anxious and dials me tomorrow or the next day instead :) I am in awe that next Friday I'll be in his arms and this will be my last Saturday and Sunday without him here. My friend is naming her daughter "ROSE," hence the idea of giving out rose petals. Well, little ol' Mari decided to take some extra rose petals home with her! Some of the other girls were like, "Hey what happened to my rose petals??" :idea: :rolleyes: :p What can I say... I need them more!!! Ha!

Tomorrow I start a new job and school so it's sure to be a busy day! I am expecting another call from James later tonight, as well as during the week. I AM PRACTICALLY NUMB THAT IT IS ALMOST HERE!!!!!

Tomorrow I start a new job and school so it's sure to be a busy day! I am expecting another call from James later tonight, as well as during the week. I AM PRACTICALLY NUMB THAT IT IS ALMOST HERE!!!!!

My ladies are awesome :) They never let me down! What would I do without you ladies?!

Girls, I'm going crazy right now! I have such a busy schedule this week, between starting a new job and all new classes. My brain is overloaded with stuff! I have about 5,000 things to do between now and going to pick James up.

I just got off the phone with his sister (who is such a sweetheart) and we discussed the party that we'll be throwing for him Saturday night. She got a pig for him... my husband's favorite and all his relatives are bringing his favorite Puerto Rican dishes (which he will LOVE, especially after not eating anything yummy for 2.5 years!) :D

Thursday I will devote to getting myself prepared, packing all our stuff, etc. He wants me to be there at 7:30 am (he should be released at 8 am), which means I have to leave my place at around 3:45 am, which means I'll have to be up at :eek: :eek: :eek: It's all good, we will be able to nap in the nice comfy hotel bed! Plus, it's not like I was going to be able to get much sleep anyways!

Just can't believe that tomorrow night around this time I'll be looking at 2 days and a wakeup!! HOLY COW!

Well, I want to wish you and yours the best of luck and a fun time upon his arrival. You are a inspiration to those of us still hanging in there. You have given us hope for our men's arrival. It is funny b/c in my class last night the professor gave us a brief orientation. He explained that the course would involve some group projects, as well as ROLE PLAYING! I said to myself, "Mmmmmm role playing!" :p Then I lost myself in some wild fantacies!!! Let's just say I'm ready to get on the road!

I am not nervous or even especially anxious. I am feeling just right. I'll be back to give you ladies one more update before I take my behind out of here!!! :thumbsup:

Sis, this time tomorrow you will be defintely getting the final touches done on getting stuff together to go pick up James. This time tomorrow you will be checking that list and checking it twice to make sure you have everything packed and just the way you want it.

Then before you know it Friday will be here and the man of your dreams will be walking out of those gates right into your arms for the rest of your life. Your life will be complete in just a few short hours. James will be home and your life together will just have begun. You two will have a life of happiness, joy and full of love. You will have bumps along the way but you know what, compared to what you two have been through that will be nothing compared to him being in prison. You have survived and you both have learned so much and one of them is called communication and unconditional love for each other.

My phone line is down today and I'm just furious and on hold right now with "repair services." I don't want James to be worried, but he knows I'll be there bright and early tomorrow morning! No matter what!

I am loading up the car today with most of our stuff!! All of James' Patriots jerseys and jackets!! It's going to be incredible stepping out of that car tomorrow and telling the C.O.'s, "Yes, I'm here to pick up my husband. Here are his clothes!" Plus, being able to wear whatever I'd like!!! It's amazing! I'm still pretty cool and calm. I'm sure I'll have a lot of adrenaline pumping through my veins tomorrow though :)

I'll try and sleep during the day a little, but remember folks, Mari will be on the road at around 3:30 am!

You all have been so wonderful, my support system, and my dear friends. Each one of you have made this time easier for James and I. I will never forget it! Look for me in a few days in the "Now That Your Loved One is Home" Forum! I can't wait to update yall :)
